Review of Guns N’ Roses’ “Chinese Democracy”

 axl-rose.jpg                                                           Axl Rose

No, Guns N’ Roses is not finally releasing its long-awaited new album, “Chinese Democracy.” Sorry if I got your hopes up, Axl fans.

But since one of this blog’s biggest supporters seems to be a huge Guns N’ Roses fan, I thought I’d post a link to rock scribe Chuck Klosterman’s fake review of “Chinese Democracy” that Spin magazine published back in 2006 as an April Fool’s joke.

You can read it here. I especially like the part about the kitten.

If you’re looking for an even bigger laugh, click on the comments after Klosterman’s review. Some poor sap on the second page almost got in a car crash when he opened the magazine.

When, if ever, do you think “Chinese Democracy” will come out? My vote is never.

  1. All of you posers soon will pay for your blasphemy. When Chinese Democracy is released later this year, it will be the last rock-n-roll record ever made. No other “artists” will dare to follow Axl’s masterpiece. Poser bands like Teenage Bottlerocket and Magnetic Fields will simply set down their instruments and walk into the ocean. And, yes, there will be democracy in China at last.

Perhaps you didn’t hear me the first time when I said, AXL RULES!!!!!

  2. One of the best albums in a long time Best Wishes StevenGroben@yahoo.com
